VIP Cruiser in the building

To all that don't know, I recently took a cruise to Mexico with my family.  We took the cruise out of Galveston.  We got there last Thursday.  As we passing through security, there was a line for Carnival VIP Cruisers.  My dad made a bee line over to the line. As a matter of fact, he actually skipped some people.  BUT, he knew he was a VIP cruiser.   My mom followed him into the room. My sister and I patiently waited outside since it was our first time on a cruise.  Next thing you know, my mom comes out of the room laughing and leaving my dad behind.  It seems when my dad got into the room the lady who worked for Carnvial asked him what his last name was. He proceeded to tell her Allen. The lady then begin to look through approximately 12 envelopes. As she was looking, my dad asks her how many cruises do you have to take to be VIP. The lady tells him  10. He then realizes he isn't a VIP cruiser. Since he has only taken 2 cruises and was about to embark on his 3rd. Needless to say, I kept call him VIP the entire cruise.
